Javier Goyes is a Berlin-based music producer, sound engineer, composer, drummer and rhythm guitarist.
Having left Colombia at the young age of 16 to pursue his dream of becoming a musician, Javier first built an educational and professional background in the U.K., where he studied BA (Hons) Music, Technology and Innovation at De Montfort University (DMU). Soon after his studies, he was discovered by Julio Iglesias, whom he worked with for several years and acted as Assistant Sound Engineer for his album Divorcio (2003).
Over the course of nine and a half years under Phil’s mentorship, Javier went from studio assistant to Chief Sound Engineer working with the likes of Andy Mackay, Natasha Khan (Bat for Lashes), Hot Chip, Jerry Meehan(Robbie Williams), Guy Pratt, Leszek Możdżer and David Gilmour, just to name a few.
He has also frequently worked together with ¡COMO NO! as production manager for the annual London Latin Music Festival, where between 2004 – 2007 he worked with a range of artists from Latin America and around the world.
Given Berlin’s rise in the music scene over the last few years, Javier is now living and working in the German capital, mixing his talents and experience with local innovations in order to help bring his career and the city’s artistic achievements to another level.
